DunDraCon D&D 5th Basic Rules Submission Form

Wizards of the Coast has introduced a new version of its iconic Dungeons and Dragons® RPG and a Basic Game rules set is now free for download: http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/basicrules

With that in mind, DunDraCon is recruiting a slate of D&D 5 Basic adventures as official games. The format is strict, to allow for a pure experience with this intro: 4 hour games, 5 players, strictly limited to what's in the free download rules book for the characters, and minimal extrapolation for NPCs, encounters, etc.

GM perks will be a little different than usual: despite just a 20 player-hour commitment, DDC will still give each GM a full comp. However, no priority slip will be given for just one game. GMs who run any other game (including running the same D&D 5 Basic scenario a second time) will get the priority.

This is not organized play like the RPGA or Pathfinder Society; there will be no official prize support, no competitive rankings, and no fixed scenarios. Each GM comes up with his or her own content.

Because we anticipate a large number of these short games, I'm constraining the available start times as given below to make sure we have good space utilization and still give every game its own room. I also strongly suggest you provide all characters, since it's going to be challenging to explain the rules and get in a good game in just four hours even with pre-generated characters.

All submissions must be received by December 10 to be considered for inclusion.

Important! You should have an acknowledgement of your game request from us within two weeks. If you do not hear from us within that time, please email our Games Coordinator. Every year, there are a handful of submissions that never reach us for reasons outside our control. If you don't follow up in the event of a delay, we might never know you submitted a proposal.

If you encounter an error when attempting to send this form, you can access a blank text file of the form. Cut & paste it to your own machine, fill it out, and send to our Games Coordinator.

Please read our Game Policies before submitting a game.

The final game schedule will be made in early January.
